WORSHIP JANUARY 17TH AT 9:30 AM OR THEREAFTER
Jesus doesn't call us to sit on the sidelines in life, but rather to be part of making our communities and world a place where peace, justice, and compassion toward one another abound. What a relevant message! Enjoy this worship service with Pastors Rev. Elaine Wing and Rev. Dr. Carolyn Thomas along with our music ministry teams. The service is posted at 9:30 AM on Sunday and it, and other services, can be accessed in our worship archives at any time. https://youtu.be/zV1-p_-Y_fM

Christian Education for All Ages
We believe Christian education is vital to our spiritual growth so we provide multiple learning opportunities in various settings including Sunday worship, small groups, and workshops, and off-site retreats.
Informal Bible studies designed for persons new to the Bible or familiar with its contents are held periodically with one or two time options. The focus of these gatherings is either topical in nature, e.g., "Forgiveness" or "Prayer" or it centers on a specific book in the Bible.
A team of creative and dedicated teachers lead our children and youth on a rotational basis. Our staff and volunteer teachers are provided training and resources to help them excel in the learning environment. Our curriculum is biblically based and it employs art, movement, drama, reading, dialogue, science and music. Our Sunday School is called J.A.M. - Jesus and Me and it generally takes place on weeks 2-4 of every month, for grades Pre-k through 6th. On the first Sunday of each month (as well as some special Sundays) we do not have J.A.M. Instead, everyone worships together in the Sanctuary. These services are especially designed for an intergenerational group. Please see the information about Worship for more details.
Our Christian education program for adults is periodically enhanced by the involvement of a facilitator or guest speaker at Calvary UMC or attendance at a learning event off-site.
Youth Ministry
Our youth group is made up of primarily junior high age students although we intentionally plan events just for senior high students. Because our youth are so busy with school, sports and community groups, our schedule includes both Sunday morning and Sunday evening activities.
Our focus is on developing relationships with God and each other so that we can practice living out the teachings of Jesus Christ.
We have lots of fun together doing both silly and meaningful things. In February 2017 we participated in "Fun without Food" - a 24 fast filled with FUN activities to learn about hunger and caring for God's people. In April 2017 we held "Imagine No Malaria Marathon" to raise funds and awareness of malaria in African nations. On September 29 a couple of us will go to IGNITE in Wildwood NJ for a outrageous youth event featuring nationally known Christian entertainers . Check it out on facebook - ignitenj.org
